Cottage Food and Small Batch Production
Rouz ‘n’ Retreat is a cottage wellness business operating in compliance with applicable cottage food laws in the states of Texas and Utah. Our products are handcrafted in small batches and are not manufactured in an FDA-registered or FDA-approved facility. Our Beyond Sea Moss formulas are not FDA-approved products.
Small batch production means every jar and every pouch receives personal attention at every step of the process. It also means natural variation in color, texture, and consistency may occur between batches — this is a characteristic of genuine whole-food products and does not indicate a quality concern.
Ingredient and Sourcing Transparency
All seaweeds used in our Beyond Sea Moss Six Seaweed Blend are sourced exclusively from Maine Coast Sea Vegetables — wild-harvested from the North Atlantic coastline. All herbs are sourced from Mountain Rose Herbs. All vitamins, minerals, and supplemental compounds are sourced from PureBulk. We request Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from our suppliers confirming the identity, purity, and potency of ingredients. However, Rouz ‘n’ Retreat does not independently conduct third-party laboratory testing of finished products at this time. Supplier COAs are available upon request.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Many of the herbs, adaptogens, and compounds in our formulas have not been fully studied for safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Unless otherwise indicated by your healthcare provider, we recommend that pregnant and breastfeeding individuals avoid our Beyond Sea Moss formulas and consult their physician or midwife before using any herbal supplement.
Drug Interactions

Pet Products
Rouz ‘n’ Retreat pet wellness products are formulated specifically for animal use and are distinct from our human formulas. Dosing for animals differs significantly from human dosing — never administer human formulas to pets without veterinary guidance.
Topical Products
Rouz ‘n’ Retreat topical products including sea moss soaps, bath salts, and salves are intended for external use only unless otherwise specified. Perform a patch test on a small area of skin before full use. Discontinue use if irritation, redness, or allergic reaction occurs. Keep all topical products out of eyes. Not intended for use on broken or severely irritated skin without healthcare provider guidance.
Children
Our Beyond Sea Moss formulas are formulated for adult use. Keep all products out of reach of children. Do not administer adult wellness formulas to children without the guidance of a qualified pediatric healthcare provider. Some ingredients in our formulas are not appropriate for children at adult doses.
Shelf Life and Storage
Beyond Sea Moss gel formulas are perishable whole-food products. Refrigerate immediately upon receipt and after every use. Consume within 3–4 weeks of opening. Discard if any mold, off smell, or significant color change occurs. Beyond Sea Moss powder formulas should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Sealed pouches have a shelf life of 12–18 months. Once opened, consume within 90 days and reseal tightly after each use.
