At Rouz N Retreat, we are committed to delivering your herbal wellness products safely, efficiently, and with care. This Shipping Policy outlines our processing times, shipping methods, costs, and what you can expect when ordering from us.


1. PROCESSING TIME

1.1 Made-to-Order Products

Most of our herbal products are handcrafted to order, including:

  • Loose Leaf Teas
  • Herbal Tinctures

  • Incense Powders
  • Herbal Body Butters

Processing Time: 1-3 Business Days

  • Your order will be prepared after payment is confirmed
  • Processing begins on the next business day after your order is placed
  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day
  • You will receive an email notification when your order ships
  • Processing time does NOT include shipping transit time

1.2 Dropshipped Products

Items such as tea kettles, strainers, meditation tools, and other accessories may be shipped directly from our suppliers.

Processing Time: 1-5 Business Days

  • These items may ship separately from your made-to-order products
  • You may receive multiple tracking numbers if items ship from different locations
  • Processing times may vary by supplier

1.3 Business Days

  • Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM CST may be processed the following business day

1.4 Peak Seasons & Delays

During busy periods (holidays, sales events), processing times may be extended:

  • Holiday Season (November-December): Up to 5-7 business days
  • Special Sales/Promotions: Up to 3-5 business days
  • We will notify you of any expected delays via email

2. SHIPPING METHODS & COSTS

2.1 Domestic Shipping (United States)

We offer several shipping options at checkout:

Standard Shipping

  • Carrier: USPS First Class or Priority Mail
  • Delivery Time: 3-7 business days after shipping
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination
  • Tracking: Included

Expedited Shipping

  • Carrier: USPS Priority Mail
  • Delivery Time: 2-3 business days after shipping
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout
  • Tracking: Included

Express Shipping

  • Carrier: USPS Priority Mail Express or UPS Next Day Air
  • Delivery Time: 1-2 business days after shipping
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout
  • Tracking: Included
  • Important: Express shipping only expedites transit time, NOT processing time

2.2 Free Shipping Promotions

  • We occasionally offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount
  • Free shipping promotions apply to standard shipping only
  • Upgrades to expedited or express shipping are available for additional cost
  • Free shipping may not apply to certain products or destinations
  • Promotional terms will be clearly stated at checkout

  • Package weight
  • Package dimensions
  • Shipping destination
  • Selected shipping method

3. SHIPPING DESTINATIONS

3.1 Domestic Shipping

We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states, including:

  • All 50 states
  • Washington D.C.
  • U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands) - additional shipping time may apply

3.2 P.O. Boxes & Military Addresses

  • We ship to P.O. Boxes via USPS
  • APO/FPO/DPO military addresses are accepted
  • Delivery times to military addresses may vary (typically 7-21 days)

3.3 International Shipping

[If you offer international shipping:] We ship to select international destinations.

International Shipping Information:

  • Processing Time: 1-3 business days (same as domestic)
  • Delivery Time: 7-21+ business days depending on destination and customs
  • Shipping Method: USPS First Class International or Priority Mail International
  • Tracking: Included (tracking may be limited once package enters destination country)
  • Customs Forms: Required for all international shipments

Customer Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and fees
  • These charges are collected by your country's customs office
  • We cannot predict or estimate these charges
  • Packages may be delayed or held by customs
  • We are not responsible for packages seized or destroyed by customs
  • Certain products may be restricted in your country - it is your responsibility to verify

International Returns:

  • International customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • We recommend purchasing shipping insurance
  • Customs fees are non-refundable

4. ORDER TRACKING

  • Track your package through USPS.com, UPS.com, or the carrier's website

5. DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS

5.1 Estimated Delivery Times

Total delivery time = Processing time + Shipping transit time

Example Timelines:

Standard Shipping to California:

  • Processing: 1-3 business days
  • Transit: 3-7 business days
  • Total: 4-10 business days from order placement

Express Shipping to New York:

  • Processing: 1-3 business days
  • Transit: 1-2 business days
  • Total: 2-5 business days from order placement

Important Notes:

  • These are estimates, not guarantees
  • Actual delivery times may vary based on carrier performance
  • Weather, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control may cause delays
  • Holidays and weekends may extend delivery times

5.2 Delivery Address

  • You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address
  • We are not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect addresses you provided
  • Address changes must be requested immediately after ordering
  • Once a package has shipped, address changes may not be possible

5.3 Delivery Signature

  • Standard and expedited shipments do not require signature
  • Packages are typically left at your door or mailbox
  • Signature confirmation is available upon request for additional fee
  • We recommend signature confirmation for high-value orders

5.4 Multiple Items

If your order contains both made-to-order products and dropshipped items:

  • Items may ship separately
  • You may receive multiple packages at different times
  • Each package will have its own tracking number
  • All items will be shipped within the stated processing times

6. SHIPPING ISSUES & PROBLEMS

6.1 Lost Packages

If your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your package:

  1. Check thoroughly:
    • All doorways, porches, and mail areas
    • With neighbors who may have accepted delivery
    • With household members
    • In secure mail rooms or package lockers
    • Behind bushes, planters, or other concealment areas
  2. Contact the carrier:

    • UPS: 1-800-742-5877 or ups.com
    • Request they investigate the delivery
  3. Contact us:
    • If carrier cannot locate package, contact us at support@rouznherbs.com or 281-858-3477
    • We will work with you to resolve the issue
    • We may file a claim with the carrier on your behalf

Important: We cannot be held responsible for packages marked as delivered by the carrier. We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for valuable orders.

6.2 Delayed Packages

If your tracking hasn't updated or shows unusual delays:

  1. Check tracking regularly - Sometimes updates are delayed
  2. Wait 2-3 days past expected delivery - Carriers may deliver without final scan
  3. Contact the carrier - They can provide more detailed information
  4. Contact us - We will help investigate and resolve delays

Weather & Natural Disasters:

  • Severe weather may delay shipments
  • Carriers may suspend service to affected areas
  • We will notify you of any known delays affecting your order

6.3 Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Document the damage:
    • Take photos of the damaged packaging
    • Take photos of any damaged products
    • Keep all packaging materials
  2. Contact us immediately:

    • File a claim with the carrier if necessary
    • Send you a replacement at no charge, OR
    • Issue a full refund

Do not discard damaged items or packaging until we've reviewed your claim.

6.4 Wrong Address Delivery

If you entered an incorrect shipping address:

  • If package has not yet shipped, we may be able to update the address
  • If package has shipped, address changes are typically not possible
  • You may need to contact the carrier to attempt package interception (fees may apply)
  • We are not responsible for packages delivered to addresses you provided

6.5 Refused or Returned Packages

If you refuse delivery or a package is returned to us:

  • Return shipping fees will be deducted from any refund
  • Unclaimed packages returned to us may incur restocking fees
  • We will contact you if your package is returned
  • You may be charged original shipping costs for reshipment

7. SHIPPING INSURANCE

7.1 Optional Shipping Insurance

  • Shipping insurance is available for purchase at checkout
  • Protects against loss, theft, or damage during transit
  • Highly recommended for high-value orders
  • Insurance claims are processed through the insurance provider

7.2 Without Insurance

If you choose not to purchase shipping insurance:

  • We may not be able to offer refunds or replacements for lost or stolen packages after carrier confirms delivery
  • Carrier liability is limited (typically $50-$100)

8. PACKAGE THEFT

8.1 Stolen Packages

We understand that package theft is unfortunately common. However:

  • Once the carrier confirms delivery, the package is your responsibility
  • We are not responsible for packages stolen after delivery
  • We recommend having packages delivered to secure locations

8.2 Prevention Tips

To reduce risk of package theft:

  • Require signature confirmation (available for additional fee)
  • Ship to a workplace or secure location
  • Use a package locker service (Amazon Hub, UPS Access Point, etc.)
  • Install a security camera or video doorbell
  • Track your package and retrieve it promptly
  • Ask neighbors to collect packages when you're away
  • Consider purchasing shipping insurance

8.3 Reporting Theft

If your package is stolen:

  1. File a police report
  2. Contact the carrier
  3. Contact us - we will try to help, but cannot guarantee resolution without insurance

9. CUSTOMS & INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

  • We cannot mark items as "gift" or undervalue for customs purposes
  • Falsifying customs documents is illegal

  • We have no control over customs processes or timelines

9.3 Customs Duties & Taxes

  • You are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees
  • These fees are set by your country's government
  • We cannot estimate or prepay these fees
  • Refusal to pay customs fees may result in package return or destruction
  • Customs fees are non-refundable

9.4 Restricted Items

  • Some herbal products may be restricted in certain countries
  • It is your responsibility to verify product legality in your country
  • We are not responsible for packages seized by customs
  • No refunds for packages confiscated by customs
